Weekly Programs at Stephens Central Library

 

Mondays/Lunes

Tots and Blocks 10-11 am

Got toddlers?

Join us on Monday mornings from 9-11 for drop-in fun playing with blocks and getting to know one another. This program encourages the use of block play for developmental and social growth in young children. We'll carefully stack pieces together, knock them down, and do it all over again! Children 1 – 4 years old with adult; siblings welcome. Registration not required.

Tuesdays/Martes

Play with Me Spring Workshop Cycle 9:30-10:30. February 4-March 4.

This program is funded by TSLAC's Family Place Library Grant and supports families of babies aged 3-36 months. Meet other families and visit with a different community childhood-development professional each week.

Registration required. Fall cycle begins in September.

Inbetweeners Club 2-3:15

Join us every Tuesday at 2 for an hour of fun social.

Registration required, ages 9-12 only. 

Art Cart, 4:00-5 pm

Come enjoy a craft or two with us! 

Drop in, all ages.

Stories, Songs, & Surprises for Preschoolers, 10:30-11 am

We will sing, read, and make new friends. 

Drop in, all ages--especially enjoyable for ages 3-6.

Tween Writers Workshop, 5-6 pm

Love to write? Hate to write but need to get better? It's just an hour each week for one month--come join us for some helpful writing comraderie and support. Ages 9-12 only, all experience levels and abilities welcome. Registration required.

Theatre Shenanigans 10:30-11:15 am

Calling all junior actors!

Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:15, local actor and storyteller Ciera will lead children in kindergarten through sixth grade through engaging and silly theatre games. We'll learn acting vocabulary, techniques, and valuable social skills while we hone our craft each week. No registration needed; children 5-12 years old welcome. No experience necessary.
